William "Willie" Medina, 83, of Boca Raton, FL passed away on January 21, 2017. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on October 18, 1933, he was one of twenty children born to Tomas and Andrea Medina Perez.

Willie relocated to New York at a young age and began a career with Hoerbiger Corporation. In 1979, Willie moved with the company to Boca Raton; he was a dedicated employee for 36 years before entering retirement. Once retired, Willie found a new love for growing fruit trees, vegetables, and tending to his garden. It also gave him more time to tinker with his beloved Oldsmobile Cutlass. He had a heart bigger than most and always lent a helping hand when needed. In his free time, Willie loved listening to music while relaxing on his back porch.

Survived by his wife of 22 years, Gladys; his step-children, Yvette "Yvy" Aponte, Luis (Sarah) Morales, and Glenda (Kevin) Berthiaume; his grandchildren, Anthony and Carlos Aponte, Kristina and Giovanni Morales, and Sara, Carly, and Sidney Berthiaume; and several brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Carlos Aponte.

Visiting hours for Willie will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with a Service to begin at 7:00 P.M.
