Obituary

William Henry Smith, affectionately known as "Hank," 59, of Coral Springs, FL died peacefully at home on Friday, April 4, 2014 from cancer. One of six children, Hank was born in Camden, NJ and grew up in Fairless Hills, PA. Upon graduating from Pennsbury High School in 1972, he entered the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, receiving an Honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant. He started his family by marrying Cindy Hudder in 1982. Hank and his family migrated south to Coral Springs, FL in 1990 where he built a successful heating and cooling business and was highly respected in his field. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Edward I. Smith and Helen F. Smith; a sister, Helen Regina; and brother, John Anthony "Jack" Smith. Survived by his wife, Cindy; two daughters, Danielle Smith and Courtney Cady; son-in-law, Chris Cady; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Brandon Cady; one brother, Christopher Smith; two sisters, Kathleen Petrucci and Mary-Elizabeth Smith; an uncle, William J. Ford; five nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and a multitude of lifelong friends. He will be sorely missed by all those he leaves behind. The family will be receiving friends for visiting hours on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home. At 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 a Funeral Service will be celebrated at Coral Springs Funeral Home. Expressions of Sympathy are welcome and may be made to Operation Homefront, PO Box 1933, Lawton, OK 73502-1933.
