William David Edson, 77, of Tamarac, FL passed away on December 5, 2016. Born on December 30, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to Thomas and Sophie Edson, he was one of eight children. Bill joined the United States Army where he proudly served our nation for three years before being honorably discharged. He relocated to New Jersey once meeting the love his life, Carmella. In 2010, Bill relocated to Tamarac, FL.

Bill graduated from Rutgers University in 1976 and began a career in computer software engineering, a field that was just emerging at that time. He remained "cutting edge" in technology into his 70's; he was an avid YouTuber and active on Facebook. A workaholic, Bill always had time for his family and friends and was very giving of himself. It brought him joy to help those in need. He did not know a stranger, with his quick wit and dry sense of humor he found new friends easily. In his spare time Bill loved golfing and watching stocks.

Survived by his children, Ronald, Donald, Dennis, and Linda; grandchildren, William, Annemarie, Justin, Jonathan, and Alexander; great grandson, Drake; and his sister, Patricia Steinbrecher. He was preceded in death by his son, William J. Kedian; 6 siblings; and his wife of 38 years, Carmella D. Edson.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 3:00 P.M.
