William (Bill) Thomas Baumiller was born on October 14 th , 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland. He died peacefully on February 15 th , 2019 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Bill is survived by his four children, sons Robert and Thomas, daughters Lisa and Lori, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be joining Estelle, his beloved wife of 66 years, who passed away in July of 2016.

Bill was affectionately known as the patriarch of the family and will be remembered as a man of faith. He loved woodworking, tinkering with electronics, and sports. Bill especially loved music and played the trumpet in a band during the big band era. He also played the piano and guitar.

At 20 years old, after serving our country in the United States Navy during WWII, Bill began working for Bendix Avionics as a technician. Over the years he was promoted through the ranks to Quality Control Engineering Supervisor and worked on NASA's Project Gemini, paving the way to Project Apollo. In 1969 Bill was transferred to their Fort Lauderdale location where he finished out his 43-year career, retiring from Bendix Avionics in 1992.

Bill's greatest joy was spending time with his family and he never missed an opportunity to participate or celebrate in any family function or event. Bill will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
