Vivian Teresa Kassar-Lagos, 85, of Coral Springs, FL died on Saturday, September 20, 2014 after a long and valiant battle with breast cancer. Vivian was born on September 2, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Emily Kassar. Vivian had a true zest for life and was in her element while entertaining guests and hosting elaborate family celebrations. Being a fiscally responsible and intelligent woman, Vivian was able to enjoy fantastic vacations. Her favorite destinations were those that included a casino, in particular Las Vegas and Biloxi. She loved playing cards with friends and family and was a truly caring and generous woman. Her family was her greatest joy. Vivian is survived by her husband, Nicholas Lagos; her children, James (Joanne) Kassar, Nancy Kassar, and Michele (Leonard) Siani; her 3 grandchildren, Jeremy Legarda, Joanna Ritchie and Christina Mullins; and her brother, George Kassar. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Elmo and Joseph Kassar. She is sorely missed as the adored icon of our loving family. The family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 3:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at (time) on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church located at 5980 N University Drive, Parkland, FL 33067.
