Victor Shaheen

Victor Shaheen, 87, of Coral Springs, FL, died peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2023.

Beloved husband of 63 years to Susan (Heyman) Shaheen; Devoted father to Vicki (Raymond) Finzel, Michael (Cindy) Shaheen and Susan (Lee) Capon. Loving grandfather of Hayley, Claire, and Chase. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bashara and Maheeba Shaheen, and seven older siblings, Adele Hamway, Joseph Shaheen, Josephine Samaha, Nussery Shaheen, Nicholas Shaheen, Julia Trabulsy and Sally "Madeline" Kirkup.

Victor was born on January 15th, 1936, in Detroit ,Michigan to Lebanese immigrants, Bashara and Maheeba Shaheen. Victor was raised and educated in Detroit, graduating from Royal Oak High School in 1955. Victor attended University of Detroit and served honorably in the United States Army and Michigan National Guard.

Victor began his 35-year career in the dental industry with Coe Laboratories, Inc. based in Chicago IL. Coe later became GC America. Victor accepted every opportunity for promotion, moving multiple times before finally settling in Coral Springs, Florida.

As a Detroit native, Victor was a classic car enthusiast and supporter of Detroit and Miami sports teams, especially University of Miami Football. After retiring, Victor enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren in South Florida.

Funeral Service will be held July 25th, 2023, 10:00am, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 901 NE 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301.
