Troy H. Siegel, 45, of Coral Springs, Fl passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Broward Health Coral Springs. Troy was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Monday, September 8, 1967. Troy leaves behind his loving wife Robin Connett and his beloved mother and step father, Melodye King and Frank Gibson, Jr. Troy was a big Detroit Red Wings fan and enjoyed hockey in general, almost as much as he loved watching his favorite college football team, the Florida Gators. He also loved 80's metal bands, such as Rush, Iron Maiden and Motley Crue. He often played this music when employed as a DJ for several FM stations under the pseudonym, Cameron Knight. He also had an affinity for science fiction movies and television. Troy was very proud of his Jewish heritage and had always hoped to visit Israel. Troy was an avid debater on many current issues and had an astute political mind. He was particularly proud of his independent thinking and was never shy about offering an opinion, even when one wasn't called for. Always a life-long animal lover, Troy loved his dogs most of all, especially Dachshunds. Until recently, Troy had a dachshund named Stevie Y (named after his favorite hockey player) that he and Robin treated as a child. Now Troy is reuniting with Stevie on the other side of the "Rainbow Bridge". Troy had a huge heart and tried to help everyone he met. He was a genuinely funny person and usually had a wisecrack ready for just about every situation that would arise. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
