Tomas Daniel Vega, 25, of Coral Springs, FL passed away on February 24, 2016 after a brief illness. Tomas was born in Bronxville, NY and relocated to South Florida with his family at a young age. He attended and graduated from Bright Horizons School.

Tomas loved music, especially Latin jazz and Christmas tunes. His father, also a music lover, would play cow bell and bongos with him regularly. Tomas was a talented eavesdropper and blushed with a big smile when caught.

Tomas is survived by his parents, Bert and Sonia Vega; his beloved sister with whom he shared a very special bond, Jennifer; and his paternal grandmother, Isabel. In addition to aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to name, he leaves a special friend, Irish Joe, and his caretaker of 18 years, Ana Gomez, to cherish his memory.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Coral
Springs Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Tomas will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
