Thomas Winship, Jr., beloved husband of Elsie, passed away on August 28, 2014 after a brief cardiac illness. He was born on June 4, 1925, in Newark and lived in Belleville, New Jersey until retiring to Florida more than 20 years ago. Thomas was employed as an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry for his entire professional career. He was an active member of the New Jersey and Florida Freemasons and a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Thomas is survived by his wife, Elsie, and daughters Susan Waters (husband Barry) and Linda Manning (husband Andrew). His additional family members include grandchildren - Brian, Jillian, Adam, Emily, and Michael and great grandchild - Asher Thomas. A Service of Remembrance will be held at North Creek Presbyterian Church, Coconut Creek, Florida on September 2, 2014 at 12:30 PM. Thomas will be interred at the South Florida VA National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Macular Degeneration Association, Sarasota, Florida.
