Stephen Joseph Mahoney, 67, of Tamarac, FL sadly passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Jamaica, New York on October 19, 1948 to Joseph and Rita Mahoney, who have pre-deceased him. Stephen was a great brother to three sisters, Mary M. Prunty (1943-2015) (James), Kathleen Ryan (Gerry) and Patricia Rivera (JP).

After graduating from Bayside High School in New York, he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served four years then started his career in banking. Stephen loved entertaining family and friends. Over the years he hosted many memorable gatherings. Stephen is survived by Susan, his beloved wife of 44 years and their two loving daughters, Stephanie Mahoney (Omar) and Megan Mahoney (Carey). Also missing "Grandpa" are his five grandchildren Callie, Madison, Alexandra, Oliver and Mia. Stephen also leaves behind extended family, including many close friends.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Coral Springs Funeral Home. A Wake Service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
