Stephanie "Steph" Russo, 39, of Deerfield Beach, FL passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL. Stephanie was born May 7, 1974 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Daniel and Camille Russo. In April of 1995, Stephanie moved with her family to South Florida. Stephanie had an amazing personality that allowed her to be loved by every person that had the pleasure of meeting her. She volunteered her time at Victory Living, where she acknowledged often as the best worker. Stephanie also took part in the Special Olympics where she won numerous awards in bowling, basketball, and golf. Stephanie had a passion for singing karaoke with her cousins, nieces, and nephews, and she loved to gamble the penny slots in Atlantic City when her family visited New Jersey. She was blessed with an phenomenal memory and could recall birth dates, anniversaries, and phone numbers with ease. Stephanie is survived by her parents, Daniel and Camille Russo; her siblings, David (Alanna) Russo and Kristina (Joseph) Friedman; and her maternal grandmother, Mary Agostinelli. She also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Vincent Agostinelli and her paternal grandparents, Antoinette & Charles Russo. Friends may call on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Coral Springs Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a Wake Service at 7:00 P.M. On Friday, January 24, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrate at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
