Shawn James O'Donnell, 49, of Coral Springs, FL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Shawn was born February 8, 1964 in Newark, NJ to the late James and Irene O'Donnell. Shawn loved to play frisbee. He was a complete movie buff and children brought him much joy. Shawn had an infectious laugh and loved having the ability to make others join in his laughter. Shawn loved the time he spent with his family, especially the time spent with his son and namesake, Shawn. Shawn treasured the Men's Ministry of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and would get together with the group often. Although Shawn worked as a heavy machinery operator, he had a desire to return to school and become a therapist. Recently, he had researched becoming a speaker for programs such as kids against drugs. He is survived by his son, Shawn O'Donnell, Jr.; sisters, Patricia O'Donnell and Irene Aviles; nieces and nephews, Louis and Heather Maldonado, and Irene Aviles; and his cousin, Thomas O'Donnell. He also leaves his great nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2PM at Coral Springs Funeral Home.
