Samuel Anthony Ruiz, Jr., 19, of Coral Springs, FL passed away in a tragic accident on March 13, 2016. Born in Pembroke Pines, FL to Samuel and Idania, he was raised primarily in Miami Gardens.
As a young child, Sam participated in many recreational sports but always had a passion for baseball and football. He graduated from J.P. Taravella High School where he was a baseball player. Sam began his college education at Broward College in hopes of earning a degree in Business while working at warehouse giant, Sam's Club. He rooted for his hometown teams, Hurricanes and Dolphins, and loved to spend time with his friends watching sports. His brother, Sal, will forever cherish the times they spent playing soccer together.
Sam was a genuine young man making strides to be a true gentleman. He was generous, caring, helpful, and a joy to be around. Sam always perservered through life's tribulations with a smile. His loving demeanor will long be remembered by those who met him.
His mother and step-father, Idania and Sal Campo; father, Sam Ruiz; and siblings, Sal, Ariana, Christian, and Kayla Marie will forever cherish his memory. Sam is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Fernando (Susan) San Pedro and Maritza (Jorge) Lopez; cousins, Alina San Pedro, Tiana San Pedro, Vanessa Vargas, and Jorge Lopez; and grandparents, Vincent and Rose Campo and Samuel Ruiz.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
