Ruth L. Leblanc, 92, formerly of Fort Wayne, IN passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 at her residence in North Lauderdale, Fl. with daughter Shirley by her side. Ruth was born in Frazier, KY on Wednesday, August 25, 1920 to Fredrick Zachery Shelton and Nona Alice (Bell)Shelton both deceased. Ruth loved dancing and attended the American Legend in Margate,FL. "Ruthie" loved country music and would get a chuckle out of saying "I was country before being country was cool!" and we will always remember her favorite saying "If God's willing and the creek don't rise." She is survived by daughters Shirley Upchurch, Marsha (John) Stonestreet, son Burton Robert Long. Grandchildren Tamra (Noe)Haman, Judi Noe, Heather Upchurch, Troy Long, and Chad Long; eleven great grandchildren, three great, great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Ruth raised her family in Fort Wayne, IN and retired from State Hospital for Developmental Disabled. She was preceded in death by son Gary Ray Long, grandson Dion Noe Sr., great granddaughter Brieana Jaide Noe, sister Amanda (Shelton) Huddleston and brother "Bud" Shelton.
