Obituary

Ruperto Cervantes was born on May 5th 1923 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He came from very humble beginnings but through hard work and education he accomplished great things. He was a Merchant Marine during WWII working on the Army transport ships. The WWII Merchant Marines were later recognized as veterans of that war so we thank him for his service to his adopted country. Ruperto was married to his lovely wife Olga for 62 years before her passing in 2011. Ruperto leaves behind his daughters Olga Cervantes and Vivian Silva, grandchildren Justin Cervantes, Lessenia Richards, Ariel Nicholls, Paul Cervantes, Alexandra Nicholls Robert Cervantes and great-grandchildren Jaidyn Nicholls, Soraya Richard's, Elias Richards, Jasmine Cervantes. Ruperto loved his family immensely and his legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
