Roy G. Collins passed away peacefully on June 13, 2013 in Sebring, FL surrounded by his loving family. Roy was born in Moss, TN on September 18, 1938. In 1957, he joined the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Denver, CO. It was during his time of service that he met Jacqueline (Jackie). After he was discharged from the Service, Roy and Jackie remained in Denver where they raised their two daughters. In 1986, Roy was presented with an opportunity to join the Gaddis Corporation as Vice President of Transportation. The family decided to make the move to Coral Springs, FL where they remained for 18 years. When retirement called, Roy and Jackie moved to Sebring, FL. Roy loved all sports and played semi pro baseball as a pitcher. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Miami Heat. Roy also enjoyed traveling in the States and Europe and cruising to exotic ports. His favorite past time was spending time with his family. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed. Roy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jacqueline Collins; his daughters, Carol (David) White and Cathy (Scott) Pauldino. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister, Barbara Likens of Moss, TN; his brother, Melvin Russell (Sheila) Collins of Moss, TN; 6 grandchildren, Joshua (Tara)Collins, Jessica (Brad) Moldt, Jillian (Alex) Concilio, Cade, Coy and Coby Pauldino; Step grandchildren, Ryan (Tamara) White and Rebekah (Andrew) Strohm; 9 great grandchildren, Tessa, Shane and Avery Collins, and Chase, Bryson, Piper and Colt Moldt, and Gianna and Carmine Concilio; Step great grandchildren, Kristin Magerus, Dak Cohen, Evan and Austin White, and Carter and Camrin Strohm. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Amos and Novella Collins and his brothers Herman Coy and David Neal Collins. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Coral Springs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expression of sympathy be made to American Cancer Society in Roy's memory.
