Roger Solomon, 83, of Deerfield Beach, FL, formerly of Lake County, IL, passed away suddenly at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL on Friday, October 26, 2012. He was born on June 17, 1929 in Chicago. He is survived by his two sons, Erik (Melanie)Solomon of Gurnee, IL and Lex Spencer of Deerfield Beach, FL; one brother, Randin (Carol) Solomon of Des Plaines, IL; nieces and nephews, Debbie, Diane, Steve, Pam, Florence, Julie, Mary, Susan and Ricky. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma (nee Holmquist) Solomon; his first wife of 20 years, Florence Solomon in 1970; his second wife of 39 years, Alice Solomon in 2011; one brother, Monroe Solomon; one sister, Sandra Planell; one niece, Donna and one nephew, Danny Solomon. Roger served during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He attended the Church of All Nations in Boca Raton, FL, he enjoyed swimming, fishing and watching old movies. Visitation is Monday, October 29, 2012 from 4-7pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Funeral services are Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Savino-Weismann Funeral Home, 2950 N. State Road 7, Margate, FL. Burial will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. *Arrangements have been changed to Nov. 1st due to Hurricane Sandy*
