Our much-loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, Roberto A. Lugo, passed away at the age of 86, surrounded by family members at his home in Coconut Creek, FL on April 28th, 2013. The elder son of the late Francisco Lugo and Eurania Guzman, he was born June 13, 1926 in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. He was a proud and decorated World War II veteran. Roberto had a great sense of humor, kindness and love. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as they meant everything to him. He loved dancing, cooking, gardening, and watching TV, movies and boxing. Though gone from this world, he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and will live in our hearts forever. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Yolanda Rosado; cherished children: Yvette, Roberto, Ylette, Jose Francisco and Linette; stepchildren: Roberto, Vanessa and Ronald; grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, sister, nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. Visitation services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home, located across from Northwest Medical Center on 441, south of Sample Road, at 2950 North State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063, ph: 954.977.5244. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 pm. Roberto will be laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
