Robert William Palumbo, 66, of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Coral Springs and Flagler Beach, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Robert was born March 29, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, NY to John and Anna Palumbo. Bob proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. After his discharge, Bob moved to South Florida to begin a fun-filled life. In 1987, he married his beloved Marianna in a beautiful ceremony attended by family and close friends. They celebrated their 25th Anniversary in 2012 by renewing their vows and throwing a huge party at their home in Flagler Beach. Bob had a passion for cooking...and eating; he was a food connoisseur. His other favorite pasttimes included golf, gambling and sports. Bob particularly enjoyed playing craps in Vegas and occasionally would take the gambling boat out of Riviera Beach. A Yankee and Dolphin fan, he enjoyed watching basketball, football, baseball and boxing. An extremely dedicated worker, Bob reaped the rewards five times over by earning the sales executive award. In 2009 he retired after a successful career as salesman in the construction industry. He always had to do things big, and that included love for his family. He was a loving husband and wonderful father, albeit stubborn at times. Robert is survived by his wife, Marianna Rose Palumbo; his son, Robert W. Palumbo and his girlfriend, Lourdes; and his step-daughters, Heather Stone and Michelle Harris. He also leaves his brother, John (Denise) Palumbo; his sister-in-law, Geraldine (Heles) Miranda; brother-in-law, Al Jannotta; his nieces, Jessica and Devone Miranda; and nephews, John (Sabrina) Sanchez and J.R. Miranda to cherish his memory. Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life Service that will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.
