Robert Frederick Bouchard,72, of Coral Springs, passed away on September 3rd, 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Visitation will be held at Savino-Weismann, 2950 N.State Rd. 7 on Friday, September 22nd 2017 from 4-8pm

Funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 23rd 2017 at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 9950 NW 29th St. Coral Springs with Mon. Michael A. Souckar of Saint Andrews officiating. Burial/Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1500 S. State Rd. 7.

Robert was born in Hempstead, New York to Ralph and Helen Bouchard on October 26, 1944. He attended LaSalle Military Academy and graduated with honors. He went on to earn a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1967, also completing the ROTC program. He earned a JD Law from University of Miami School of Law in 1970, where he was a World Champion participant of the International Law Moot Court Team.

He served his country during the Vietnam War with distinction as a U.S. Army Captain, presiding over Courts Martial cases as a Military Judge in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. Serving in Korea and Germany from 1971-1976.

Robert returned to Florida to practice law and actively serve those in need for the rest of his life. His dedication to the law, his clients and his colleagues endeared him to many, making him one of the most respected members of the South Florida legal community. He was a former Dade County Bar Association President, and has been honored as peer rated 'Preeminent', elected a Super Lawyer 2008, and a 2007 Legal Elite.

'Bob' was an active member of the Saint Andrew parish. Serving as a lector, and founding the Emmaus group in 1998, to support and encourage men's spiritual growth.

Robert is survived by his Wife, Mary Bouchard, of Coral Springs; his children Robert Jr, Jonathan, Danielle, Elizabeth, and Kristen, and his grandchild, Oliver.
