Robert Maurice (Bob) Worthy, 64, of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Broward Health Coral Springs Medical Center. Bob was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 3, 1948, to Richard and Lois (Fullerton) Worthy. Bob was the president of Secur Technologies, Inc. in Coral Springs for twenty-three years. He was a member of the Alarm Association of Florida Board of Directors for twenty years and was serving as board secretary and chairman of the legislative committee. Bob served as state president of the AAF from 2000-2002. His peers selected him as the Most Valuable Person in 2001 and as the MVP of the Decade in 2010. Bob was married to the love of his life, Kaye, for thirty-four years. Together, they raised two sons, and were blessed with two grandsons. Bob was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and son whose greatest joy came from traveling with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever possible. Bob will be remembered by his family and friends for his integrity and gentle presence. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Kaye (Lewis) Worthy; sons Robert Worthy (Jody) of West Branch, Michigan, and Derek Engle of Coral Springs, Florida; his grandsons Carl and Dalton Worthy; parents Richard and Lois Worthy of Moore Haven, Florida; siblings Marla Miller, Sheryl Chomiuk (Ronald), Scott Worthy (Karen), and Jeffrey Worthy; and mother-in-law, Shirley Lewis, of Brutus, Michigan. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 2950 North State Road 7, Margate, Florida.
