Obituary

Richard Stewart Forde, Sr., 60, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on May 18, 2016. Born in Mount Vernon, New York to the late Robert and Virginia Forde; the family moved to Connecticut where they resided in a couple of towns before relocating to Rochester, New York where Rich was raised. After his siblings decided to relocate to South Florida in the early 70's, Rich made the move to Fort Lauderdale a few short years later where he would meet his future wife, Lisa. They married in 1984, spent 16 years together and had two beautiful children Kimberly and Richard.

Rich worked as a valet for a high-profile restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, The Down Under when he first moved to Florida. He told fantastic stories to his children about parking the cars of the rich and famous. He later started a career in the construction industry specifically doing caulking and waterproofing for over 30 years. Rich loved his work and took such pride. Rich was involved in his children's sports activities as well as enjoying some hobbies of his own such as playing golf and softball. His true passion, however, was always bass fishing. He loved taking his boat out with the children and it usually turned into a contest to see "who could catch the bigger bass". Rich was so full of life and always a comedian that would love to make everyone laugh. He would usually have a new joke every time you saw him. For these things, Rich could never be forgotten.

Rich is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Forde and her husband, Jonathan Tetreault; his son, Richard Forde, Jr.; and his grandson, Mason Forde and his mother, Lauren Cavaliere. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister, Virginia "Dee" Forde and his brother, Robert "Bob" Forde.
