Dear Family and Friends, Our beloved Becky had laid down to take a nap on Tuesday afternoon. While she was sleeping, God invited her to come home. Our feelings of loss are so deep. Becky brought the joy to our lives. She was our link to each other; the one we could all turn to for care and compassion. She brought us together for birthdays and holidays, kept us updated on each other's lives, shared our joys and helped us carry our burdens. She loved her family, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her church, her friends and her pets. She was the kind of person you felt you'd known all of your life; from the moment you met her. Her list of friends included nearly everyone she met. It is easy to see why God chose her so early. May we all embrace the moments and memories we shared with Becky and the countless ways she enriched our lives, as we struggle to move past our heartbreak. Welcomed home by her Mother Barbara Holloway Jennings, her Grandmothers Leona Reisig Holloway and Pearl Jennings, Her Aunts Barbara Jennings and Sue Newkirk, her Uncles William and Jack Holloway, and her Step-Father Anton Momsen. Survived by her husband Harold Kopietz, of Pompano Beach, FL, and their furry and feathered children, Hogan, Barkley, and the flock, her Father and Step Mother, Donald and Mary Jennings, of Monroe, MI, her Mother- and Father-in-law, Pat and Harold Kopietz, Sr., of Carleton, MI, her brother and his wife, Randall and Denise Jennings, and her nephews, Jarrett and Jack, of Sunrise, FL, her sisters Julie Hull and her husband Mark and her nephew Alex, Jill Jennings, Greg & Kellie Vandergriff and her husband and her nephews Mike, Jason and Tyler, and Larry & Kris Swiontoniowski, all of MI, Alisa Newkirk, of Plantation, FL, and Natalie Higgins and her nephews Dennis and David, and their wives, of OH, her Brothers-in-law Billy and David Kopietz, of MI, her nieces Sarah and Renee, her Aunts, Jody Morwood, Millie Farmer, and Virginia Duffey, her cousins Rick Holloway, Penny Holloway, Amber Morse, Brett Holloway, Kim Morwood, Kris Franklin, Joey Farmer, Steven Duffey, Shawn Duffey, Holly Jones, Joanie Devore, her God-Daughter, Nicole Farmer, and the countless extended family members and friends, who loved her. A beautiful service was held for her on Saturday April 20th at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church in Fort Lauderdale, her church that her and her husband attended every Sunday. Nearly 200 of her friends and family, mostly in Florida had attended as well as additional friends and family from Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina. With the many friends and family that were not able to arrange to come to Florida on such a short notice to celebrate Becky's life, we have scheduled a similar memorial in her home town in Monroe, MI at Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Scott St., her church that she belonged to before she moved to Florida in 1974. The service is set for Saturday May 11th at 11am, with a luncheon to follow at the church afterwards. The church will be catering the food and we ask that if anyone would like to bring their favorite desert, it would be greatly appreciated.
