Raymond Lawrence Gleason III, 53, of Tamarac, FL
Passed away on Tuesday July 18, 2017.
Survived by his wife Patricia Gleason to whom he was married to for seven years and loved very much, his children Raymond James Gleason and Katie Gleason, his grandson Raymond Gleason and his sisters, Joan Kuerzi and Laura Wyrick, and his stepchildren, Manuel, Natalia, and Jose Collantes, whom he spent his last 7 years with.

Raymond Lawrence Gleason III, born to Raymond Lawrence Gleason II and Joan Patricia Brady in Queens, New York. He spent his childhood as a carefree kid with his sisters Laura and Joan. His family moved to Georgia and California and finally settled in Coral Springs, Florida. He attended Coral Springs High School but he skipped his high school graduation in order to attend basic training as he joined the army at the age of 18.
He was a devoted veteran, battled in the Gulf War and was also deployed in Panama. Afterwards he enrolled in Florida Atlantic University and earned a Master's in Education. He became a lovely, devoted teacher at North Lauderdale Elementary for 15 years and later Challenger Elementary which were his last four years. He was so happy working at Challenger Elementary, especially working with his second grade team. He was a great role model to his students and some occasions a father figure. He was a former instructor at Broward-Dade Safety Council.

Raymond was a kind, comedic and romantic husband. He gave love to his two children and his three stepchildren. He was an avid soccer fanatic, spending his hours watching soccer matches, since the FIFA World Cup in 2010, he collected about 80 soccer jerseys. His favorite team is the Alianza Lima from Peru. When he visited Peru along with his family, the first thing he did was attend a soccer match. He also enjoyed watching the English Premier League. Lately he would spend time viewing his favorite shows, such as Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush. He loved scuba diving. He was a cat lover and rescuer, he loved his cats Snoory, Spooky, Luna, Mick and Tyson. He was an expert in history. He loved listening to music, especially the works of Willie Nelson, Jay-Z, Linkin Park, Led Zeppelin, and Aventura, which his wife introduced him to, and loved dancing to it. Generous and eccentric. He would always joke about always being right.
