Raoul Quiroga was born in Matanzas, Cuba to the late Ismael and Ariela Quiroga. At the age of 92, he passed away in Delray Beach, FL. Raoul graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and was certified in sports medicine. He married the love of his life Iraida Quiroga in Matanzas, Cuba on November 17, 1947. In 1963 Raoul and Iraida came to America to reunite with their beloved son. On January 26, 1970 Raoul became a United States citizen and took great pride on being an American. Raoul was a physical education teacher at a private catholic school in Cuba. He then became part owners of a health club in Massachusetts, relocated to Hartford, Conn., where he worked with Cigna until he retired in 1987. After his retirement Raoul and Iraida relocated to South Florida where he spent the rest of his years with his family. Raoul was a devout catholic, an avid gun collector and loved sports, especially basketball, swimming and track and field. He loved his family and friends and most importantly life. Raoul is survived by his wife Iraida Quiroga, of Boynton Beach; children Raul and Christa Quiroga, of Boynton Beach and granddaughter Ericka Quiroga, of Boynton Beach. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends that he always adored and loved very much. A service will be in the near future, please check back for more information.
