With deepest sorrow, we announce that Rafael Laruy (Junior), age 42 our most beloved son, brother, uncle, family member and friend passed suddenly on Monday, October 5, 2020.

Those who knew Rafael, even just a little lost a shining light in their lives.

Rafael is predeceased in life by his Mother, Florence Mercado, Father, Rafael Laruy Sr. Brother Ryan Laruy, Sisters Bambi Laruy and Stephanie Laruy-Santiago, Grandmother Clotilde Serrano, Nephews Branden and Ryan Anthony Laruy, Niece Angelina Laruy, and many great family members and friends.

We know Rafael is now with his Aunt Maria Morales and Uncles Benjamin and Michael Morales and is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

Rafael was born on January 9, 1978 in New York City. Rafael lived in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico from the age of one until his family moved to North Lauderdale, Florida in 1991.   Rafael graduate from Coconut Creek High School in 1996.

Rafael loved sports, especially football. Rafael had a passion for music, movies, and especially his collection of JORDAN sneakers

Rafael also dedicated time towards establishing his sport podcast and fantasy football teams.

Anyone who knew Rafael knew that he had a love for his mother, like no other. Rafael had an immense respect for what was right and fair and showed kindness to so many.  Rafael was a loyal and faithful friend to those he held dear to his heart.

Rafael, we LOVE and MISS more than words can say. XOXO

Rafael's immediate family will receive family and friends at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 North University Drive, Coral Springs, FL  33071 (954)255-8411 on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 3-5 pm.
