Peter Nicholas Giuttari of Coral Springs, FL passed away on December 30, 2016. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Salvatore and Josephine Giuttari, he joined the United States Army where he proudly served in Army Police during World War II earning several medals. After his release, Peter relocated to South Florida and began a career in law enforcement with Lantana Police Department. He later moved to Broward County and transferred to Tamarac Police Department where he achieved the rank of Sergeant before joining Broward Sheriff Office.
Peter loved "tinkering" and was always fixing things. He had a passion for motorcycles and helping others. He lived for his family. Peter always found time to coach his children's sports teams as they were growing up and became the biggest supporter of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by his wife of 39 years, Andrea Giuttari; children, Wendy, Michael (Jamie), Peter James (Tammy) and Jodie (Steve); and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Kaiden, Katie, Christopher, Valerie, Jessica, Angela, and Michael. He also leaves his great granddaughters, Jordan and Gianna; mother-in-law, Shirley Bolton; and numerous nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11:30 A.M. Peter will be laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery with Military Honors.
