Obituary

Patrick Michael "Mike" Fischer, 73, of Coconut Creek, Florida, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those fortunate enough to know him.

Mike was born on September 18, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Glenn and Marion Fischer (Starr). He was raised in Michigan, where he attended school and developed the strong work ethic, curiosity, and determination that would define his life.

He went on to graduate from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Mike built an impressive career in information technology, serving as IT Director for Whirlpool Corporation for 12 years before continuing his career with Progressive Insurance, where he held the same position for 18 years until his retirement. Throughout his professional life, he was admired for his intelligence, leadership, and dedication.

On November 24, 2015, Mike married the love of his life, Kenneth F. Bailey. Together they shared more than ten wonderful years filled with love, adventure, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to companionship, mutual respect, and enduring love.

Known affectionately by many as "Mr. Fix-It," Mike possessed an extraordinary ability to repair just about anything. Whether tackling a household project, helping a friend, or solving a complex problem, he approached every task with patience, determination, and remarkable skill. If something was broken, everyone knew Mike was the one to call.

Mike embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure. He was a proud member of the Prime Gentlemen's Bowling Club and faithfully served as a board member of the Hammock Estates Homeowners Association. He loved traveling and sought out opportunities to ride a zip line wherever his travels took him, always eager for the next exciting experience.

One of Mike's greatest joys was the companionship of his beloved dogs, who held a special place in his heart throughout his life. Above all else, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be forever cherished.

Mike is survived by his devoted husband, Kenneth F. Bailey; his brother, Steven Fischer of Owego, Michigan; and his sister-in-law, Beverly Fischer of Sun City, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Glenn and Marion Fischer (Starr), and his brother, Raymond Fischer.

Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, quick wit, adventurous soul, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. His life touched countless people, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.

Though he will be deeply missed, Mike's love, laughter, and the many lives he enriched will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
