Patricia "Patti" (Savino) West (1951-2017)

On January 31, 2017 we lost a wonderful woman, sister, aunt and friend to a long battle with cancer. Throughout her life, family, friends & career were most important to Patti. She was retired from a long and distinguished career as a Broward County educator. Patti began as a teacher and then spent more than two decades as Assistant Principal at Margate Middle School & Coral Springs Middle School. She was a graduate of The University of Florida where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.
She was a loving wife & daughter who tirelessly cared for her terminally ill husband for five years preceding his death. She was also the loyal companion and caregiver to her beloved mother Stella Savino. Her family and closest friends will always remember her quick wit, her sarcasm, and her tender heart. Patti was proceeded in death by her husband Roy & her mother Stella. She is survived by two siblings (Donna Fitch & Joe Savino), one nephew (Josh), two nieces (Kylie & Andrea), a grandniece (Layla), a grandnephew (Maddox), and friends and family members who loved her very much.
