Patricia Ann (Lane) Akers, 67, passed away peacefully in Crystal River, Florida on September 19, 2013 after a long illness. She was deeply loved and will be missed by family and friends. Pat is survived by her husband, George Akers; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick & Rie Gibbons, son, Michael Gibbons; her beloved grandson, Jeremy Gibbons; and her sisters, Sue Tennant, Nancy Snyder and Rosemary Hirsch. Born in New Castle, Indiana, Pat attended Lewisville and New Palestine schools, graduating from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis in 1964. She is remembered as a warm, fun loving, kind person, with talents as a beautician, homemaker, chef. A memorial service is planned at the Washington Park East Cemetery and Funeral Center, 10722 E Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229 in November.
