Obituary

Pasquale "Rocky" Anastasia, 71, of Coral Springs, FL passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. He was born on June 21, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Phillip and Philomena Anastasia.

Pasquale was affectionally called "Patty" by his family and "Rocky" by his friends. He grew up in Brooklyn, where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann, on the street they were raised on. In 1976 they married and spent several years in Staten Island before relocating to Coral Springs in 1981.

Rocky's chosen career was as a civil engineer which earned him the bragging rights as one of the builders of the Twin Towers and Madison Square Garden. After retiring, he spent the last few years as a baker. Rocky was an avid golfer, hunter, and bowler. He was a man with a sense of humor and a passion for his family.

Pasquale is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Anastasia; son, Vincent Anastasia; and his siblings, Charles (Margaret) Anastasia, Anthony (Judy) Anastasio, and John (Cindy) Anastasia. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother-in-law, Frances Barbarite; his in-laws, Robert (Mary) Barbarite and Joseph (Susan) Barbarite and 8 nieces and 8 nephews.

Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Coral Springs Funeral Home. The service time is currently pending. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Sylvester Cancer Center at in his memory.
