Osvaldo Velazquez, 58, of Pembroke Pines, FL passed away at home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Osvaldo was born on April 10, 1956 in Bronx, NY, to Pablo and Maria Velazquez.

Osvaldo had a passion for flying small aircrafts, Latin and Jazz music, and playing chess. He worked in the avionics field for a number of years but also found joy in his teaching career. Osvaldo was a family man and cherished the time he spent with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He also enjoyed the socializing and togetherness of get togethers.

He is survived by his wife, Svetlana Velazquez; his daughters, Krystel Velazquez and Jennifer Velazquez; his step-son, Anton Pustovar; and his grandchildren, Isabella Heath and Christopher Mahaffey. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Gladys Velazquez, Ruth Bracero, and Rolando Velazquez; and his nieces and nephews, Jessalyn, Christopher, Christina, Alex, Marcus, Omar, Rachel, Stephen, Michelle, Gabriel, and Roy.

Friends may call from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
