Obituary

Norman Wayne Rioux was born in Akron, Ohio on October 6, 1954. He grew up in St. Claire Shores, Michigan and moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1966.

Wayne, as he was more commonly known, graduated from South Broward High School and worked as an ocean lifeguard for Hollywood Beach. He began his college days as Broward College and then attended Florida Atlantic University where he graduated with a Masters in accounting and became a CPA.

Wayne was an avid sailor, a rare coin and shell collector, and a Florida history aficionado. He was a dedicated Marlins and Dolphin fan; a true "Florida Boy."

He was married for 36 years to his wife, Susan Taylor Rioux, who is a Peer Counseling Coordinator for Westglades Middle School in Parkland, FL. Wayne also leaves his two daughters, Lauren Nicole Rioux, age 33 of Seattle, Washington and Alison Taylor Rioux, age 27, of Washington, D.C.; his parents; Norman and Catherine Rioux, of Parkland, FL; sisters, Renee Tucker and Cindy Kowalke, who both reside with their families in Raleigh, NC.; and brother, Randy Rioux of Lakewood Ranch, FL to cherish his memory.
