Norma C. Basanyi, 87, of Boca Raton, FL became our angel on July 18, 2024. She is survived by her loving sister Rosemarie Cavaliere (Frank Cavaliere), children Teri Martin (Steve Martin) and Joseph Conte, grandchildren Niki Galletta (Alex Galletta), Kyle Martin (Laney Gibson), and Brittany Conte, great grandchildren Emilia and Isla Galletta, nieces Tina Harris, Stephanie Cavaliere, and Sheri Taylor (Jim Taylor), Michael Ventura (Michelle Ventura), Tessa Spaulding (Brett Spaulding), and Louis Ventura, and great nieces and nephews Hailey Denton, Sarah Harris, Olivia Harris, Casey Taylor, Jake Taylor, Grace Taylor, Nick Ventura and Ryan Ventura.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Basanyi, brother Louis Ventura and sister-in-law Rosemary Ventura.

She was born on February 1, 1937 to Enrico and Theresa Ventura and raised in the Bronx, NY. She attended Evanda Childs High School where she was the coach of the swim team. She had a career in Human Resources. She met the love of her life, Jim, and married on January 26, 1980. She will always be remembered for her big personality and sense of humor.  She and Jim were active parishioners at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton for many years. Her hobbies included cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her loving family. She always enjoyed reggae music, a margarita and a good time.

After a long hard fight against cancer from 2022-2024 she can finally rejoin her loving husband Jim.

A visitation will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home on July 23, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Andrews Catholic Church.
