Nenad Krstić passed away on Saturday May 28, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. He will be remembered by his children, Dado and Clare; Lana and Rafael; his brother Predrag and sister-in-law Vinka; and his partner Elizabeth; as well as numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Miroljub and Olivera, and the mother of his children Nermina.

Nenad was born on June 6, 1957 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In his youth, he showed a talent for mathematics and technology. He attended college in Belgrade, Serbia; and he married his high school sweetheart, with whom he welcomed two children into the world. The family lived in Sarajevo until they were forced to leave during the war in 1994. They bravely escaped to keep their children safe and finally settled in Florida. Though hardships punctuated his life, Nenad never stopped working to ensure better opportunities for his family, as well as living to enjoy every moment possible. He was stern with high standards, opinionated and passionate. But he balanced this with laughter and a supportive nature.

He loved to travel and enjoyed socializing with anyone, from coworkers to strangers, with his own peers as well as his children's friends. Everyone knew Nenad as a man who refused to grow old, with a sense of humor—sometimes vulgar, but never cruel—that shined through even the most difficult times. He was a lover of animals and lived for visits with his kids and their pets.

One of his greatest joys was riding his motorcycle, which provided him with a constant sense of excitement especially in the last few years. Those who knew him will remember the leather vest accented with patches from his travels as an extension of his very self. He was a man who knew how to live and love, and we will carry on his legacy by striving to do the same.
