Edward W. O'Connell, Jr. and his beloved wife, Nancy E. O'Connell, shared a life of love and devotion, and now they are reunited in peace.

Eddie passed away on December 11, 2022, after a period of declining health. A proud. U.S. Marine and Vietnam veteran, he served his country with courage and honor, earning both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals. Nancy passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2025. She will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, kindness, and love for her family.

Together, they are survived by Eddie's children, Daniel O'Connell and his wife Narika, their children, Abigail and Christian, of Stoughton; Theresa O'Connell and her son, Tyler Maurer of Randolph; sister, Ann O'Connell of Bourne; brother Joseph of Weymouth; and the late Peter of Savannah, GA; Nancy's sister, Donna Fitzpatrick and her husband Edwin, of Mashpee; niece Colleen Cole and her husband George, and son Aidan, of Norfolk. Eddie and Nancy also cherished their dear friends, Diahanne and Adrian Wong, and their sons Tristan and Jordan, of Coconut Creek, FL. Ed and Nancy will be deeply missed, but their memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew them.

A funeral service with Military Honors will be held at Bourne National Cemetery at 9am on October 13, 2025- a date that marks what would have been their 46th wedding anniversary.
