Myra Miller, 73 of Coconut Creek, passed away quietly on Sunday, April 13, 2014 the way she enjoyed to live her life, surrounded by family and friends. Myra was born on Tuesday, August 20, 1940 and raised in Patton, PA, the daughter of Regina and Harvey Winslow. She lived in Pittsburgh PA where she lovingly raised her two children, Lisa Shuster and Michael Simpson, but had been a resident of South Florida for 30 years where she lived happily ever after with her husband Jack Miller. She was an expert orchid grower, a master cook and baker. She successfully fought against a corporate development in her community that would have displaced endangered wildlife and green space. She was an active member of her community and headed up a neighborhood watch program. She became a loving mother to her step daughter Karen Miller, son in law Doug Shuster and daughter in law Cynthia Ritter. And most of all, she loved to spend time doting on her only granddaughter Alexa, her "Sunshine". Her smiling face and happy demeanor will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her brothers Paul Winslow, Ray Winslow. Eric Winslow who lovingly called her birdymay and numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as Auntie M.
