Michael Palkovic was born on September 23, 1920 just outside of Schnectady, NY to Florian and Albina Palkovich. Michael married his sweetheart, Yolanda, 62 years ago and together they had 4 children, Paula, Michael, Thomas, and Andrea. In 1959 the family relocated from Schenectady to the Hollywood, FL area. The family eventually settled in Coconut Creek, FL where Michael passed away at home surrounded by his family. The true patriarch of the Palkovic family, he will be deeply missed. Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Yolanda and his children, Paula Palkovic, Thomas Palkovic, and Andrea Gerlach. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Palkovic, Jr. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Tommy, Christine, and Catherine; great grandchildren, Alexis and Jordan; his sisters-in-law, Mildred Parisi and Eva Votino and his nieces and nephews in Oregon and New York. Committal services will be held at 10:45AM on Monday, May 20, 2013 at South Florida National Cemetery.
