Mary Edwards Yost
Mary "Mimi" Edwards Yost went to be with her Lord on April 2, 2017. She was born on October 16, 1931 to Cornelia and Thara Webster Edwards ofHamlet, North Carolina.Mary graduated from Jefferson High School in Richmond, Virginia. She worked in sales for the G.C.Murphy Company where she soon promoted. Murphy's transferred Mary as a Personnel manager to Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. There she met her husband of 62 years, Frank Yost. Mary was a loyal, loving wife who always placed her family first. Her passion for travel took Mary and Frank to many foreign places. Sheattended a Baptist church and later a Moravian church where she becamefond of the many Christmas traditions. Mary will be remembered for her devotion to family, excellent homemaking skills, love of laughter, affectionfor shopping, and excellent taste in decor and fashion, especially shoes.Mary was preceded in death by her great granddaughter Ryleigh Lynn Latkowski, and siblings Nelva Ball, T. W. Edwards, Jr., Eleanor Smith, andE. Byron Edwards.Surviving are her husband Frank Yost, daughter Janice (John) Grimsley,sons Charles (Jacquelyn) Yost and Edward (Jean) Yost, granddaughterJessie (Vincent Latkowski) Grimsley, grandsons Jonathan and TimothyYost, and many nieces and nephews.Visitation with the family will be on Monday, April 10 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home, 2950 N. State 7 #101 in Margate,Florida. A graveside service will take place at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April11 at South Florida National Cemetery 6501 S. State Road 7 in Lake Worth.
