Obituary

Mary Kamman Tierney passed away surrounded by her loving family after a brief and courageous struggle with cancer. Long time resident of Boca Raton Florida. Formerly of Milwaukee Wisconsin. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Loving ex-wife of Dick (Patsy) Tierney; Sister to Ruth (Warren) Ross and Susan (Bob) Giuliani. Survived by Daughters Kim Tierney Richow (Jerry Blough and The late Tom Richow) Boca Raton; Kitty Sanger Tierney Mequon Wisconsin and M. Arthur Tierney Boca Raton. Proud Grandmother of Ashley Richow; Chris Sanger Park City Utah and Kerri Sanger Thiensville Wisconsin. Further survived by friends and family. Mary graduated from Milwaukee Downer Academy and attended The University of Miami. Mary was a member of the Nicolet Theater Club and held the leading roles of many plays and events in and around the Milwaukee area. She was also employed at the family restaurant The Saxony in Bayside Wi. Mary was a savvy business woman and in 1965 created Mary's Ultimate East; a well-known salon in the North Shore area of Milwaukee. Mary was proud to have studied at the Sassoon Academy London and Kenneth of Paris as well as New York, Las Vegas and Chicago. She wrote a column in The Northshore Herald about the beauty business and was ahead of her time in environmental causes such is the use of hairsprays and recycling. Her artistic talent and love of art was evident in her paintings and other creative endeavors. Mary's travels took her literally around the world. She lived a full and adventurous life. In lieu of flowers Mary would offer one last toast to celebrate her motto "Live, laugh, love" The party is on the other side now Mary. Party on.
