Mary T. Spina, 92, of Coral Springs, FL died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Margate Health Care Center. Mary was born July 16, 1921 in New York City, NY to Gerald and Agnes Costanzo. She spent the majority of her long life in New York, moving to Coral Springs in 2002 after 30 years of living in Rockland County. While Mary was mostly a devoted homemaker, she did spend a number of years working as a school aide. Mary was a hopeless clean fanatic and a fantastic cook. Once she became a grandmother and later a great grandmother, her life revolved around her grandchildren as they brought her tremendous joy. In recent years, Mary loved going to NW Focal Point Senior Center. She loved to dance and do zumba, but mostly she would brag about the bus drivers chasing her. She made a lot of friends in the time she spent there and they will miss her deeply. Mary is survived by her children, Adele (Dominick) Prudenti, Frankie Spina, Debbie (Janine Klein) Spina and Susan (Steve Giganti) Grisafi; and her grandchildren, Tina, Dominick (Raymond), Anthony (Elizabeth), Angela, Rory, Matthew, Samantha, Charles, Ashley (Ryan), Perry, and Chelsea. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Anthony, Brandon, AJ, Cathryn and Megan; her sisters, Marietta, Agnes and Rosalie; and her brothers, Mikey, Jerry and Joey. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Spina, in 1982; her brothers, Vito and John; and her grandson, Jesse. The family will be receiving friends for a visitation on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
