Mary Eva Coyle, 70, passed away suddenly on January 30. Born in Seaford, NY to Robert and Mary Lee, she moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1966. Mary was fiercely loyal to those she loved, had a sharp, delightfully wicked sense of humor and was devoted to the many German Shepards that kept her company throughout her life. She and Frank met while in their mid-teens in 1959 and married 10 years later. It's been a long and happy marriage, weathering its ups and downs, but surviving with love and laughter. She was quirky and funny with an enormous heart and her family, particularly her children and grandchildren, were the sun and the moon of her life. Her unique ability to listen to others with compassion as they struggled with life's issues, made her a valued mother, sister, aunt and friend. Mary truly enjoyed the job she held for many years as Cash Office Supervisor for Service Merchandise prior to its closing. Her smile and her love for all of us will never be forgotten. She is survived by the love of her life, Frank, her husband of 45 years; her daughter, Melissa Coyle-Richardson (Scott Jones), son Michael (Christine); adored grandsons Christian Richardson and Braden Coyle; sister Patricia Greenberg (Paul); nieces and nephews Kathleen Ficarra (Anthony), Robert McPhillips, Maureen Melton (Dwayne), Loreen Acceturro (Michael), and Patrick McPhillips (Darlene); and grand-nieces and nephews, Katie McPhillips, Jessica and Brittany Melton, and Michael Acceturro; and her most treasured of all friends, Michael Molander She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Rose Coyle and brothers-and-sisters-in-law Joseph and Donna Coyle, Richard and Carolyn Coyle of Wisconsin and Costa Rica, and Ronald and Dorothy Coyle, all of Long Island, NY, as well as many members of the Lee and Coyle family on Long Island. She leaves behind her treasured, spoiled and happy dogs, Ally and Heidi. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Lee of Hudson and Fort Lauderdale, sister Kathleen M. McPhillips, and nephew Bernard McPhillips, Jr. Mary's best friend was and is Michael Molander, a kind and generous man who cut and styled her hair. They quickly found each other to be kindred souls and frequent confidants in a friendship that has lasted over 30 years. Thank you Michael for being such a good and loving friend. The family has been touched by and thanks the number of people who have called with condolences and memories of Mary. We would also like to thank the incredible ICU nursing staff at Florida Medical Center for their extremely competent and dedicated care of both Mary and her family members during her brief illness. At 11:00am a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 7 at the funeral home with burial on Friday, Feb 7 to follow at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
