Our beloved sister, wife, aunt, niece and friend Martha Elizabeth Smikle Collins passed away on September 7, 2021 in Coral Springs, Florida. Martha was born in Caimanera Oriente, Cuba on March 24,1954 to Adolphus and Daisy Mae Smikle both of whom predeceased her. Martha subsequently migrated to Kingston, Jamaica with her father and mother. Martha attended Alpha High School in Kingston, Jamaica on a full Scholarship. After graduating from Alpha she migrated to New York, shortly thereafter attending the prestigious Fordham University. In 1981 Martha graduated from Fordham with a finance degree with honors and immediately went to work in the financial field.

After moving to Florida, Martha worked for the State of Florida as an Auditor; she was also a licensed Real Estate Agent for Access USA Realty in Ft.Lauderdale, Florida as well as a licensed Insurance Agent. There were times that Martha worked in each of those jobs at the same time and generally after a hectic day she went home to take care of her sick Mother Daisy and her step father. More recently she did the same for her Aunt Thelma and husband Michael. She would do each of those jobs successfully and without complaining.

Our sister Martha was an avid music lover and adored her constantly expanding pack of dogs. She loved going to Music concerts and was a great dancer. Martha will be remembered for her incredible generosity, sense of Adventure, and devotion to family and friends. In summary, let me close by saying that our sister Martha's legacy will be best embodied by the fact that she just did not only live by the length of her 67 years on this earth, she lived the width of it also.
