Marion Venditto Ross, 63, of Boca Raton, FL passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on March 15, 2016. Marion was born in Brooklyn, NY to George and Anna Delgardio, one of their six children.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, James; children, Vincent Venditto, Ryan Ross, Michael Venditto, and Jayme Ross-Bouck and her husband Timothy; and grandchildren, Jordyn Venditto and Sarah Grace Ross. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Diane Maita, George Delgardio, Linda Modica, Michael Delgardio, Joseph Delgardio, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anyone who knew Marion knew that she lived each day for her children. They were her reason, her passion, her pride and joy. She had a unique ability to connect with and love people instantly. She was keenly sensitive to others thoughts, feelings and emotions. If you hurt, she hurt. If you rejoiced, she rejoiced. These qualities are what allowed her to be a mother to all she came in contact with. Her caring and nurturing ways coupled with her inner protective fighter allowed her to mimic a mother bear to all of her children and their friends. Marion believed in righteousness and fairness and would stand up for anyone who needed help. She loved fearlessly with her whole heart. Her door, her home and her heart were open to all.
Marion, affectionately known as "Ma," had a larger than life personality. Some of her greatest memories and happiest times of her life were traveling around the United States watching her children perform. Whether she sat in an audience of thousands or she was alone on a bleacher she radiated the same amount of pride and joy for her children's accomplishments. She enjoyed every cup of coffee and every conversation shared with friends and family.
Marion was known for her feisty personality and her Farrah Faucet hair. She was outspoken, courageous and full of moxie. She lived her life as if she was called to defend the weak, stick up for the bullied and to set the bullies in life straight. Marion had a relentless desire to make things right. To make it all okay. To make the world a better place. Perhaps the "fighter" in her was the reason she long surpassed any expectation of her doctors. No matter what she faced her faith in the Lord never wavered. It is undeniable, the world was a significantly greater place because she was in it.
