Mario Federico De Nunzio passed from this life on Friday, August 3, 2018, in Tamarac, Florida, at the age of eighty-four. Mario was born January 28, 1934, to Mario and Angiolina (De Roma) De Nunzio in Queens, New York. Mario married Shirley (Allback) on July 7, 1956.

Mario was a veteran of the United States Army serving at Fort Rucker, Alabama. After leaving the Army, he would sometimes hold up to three jobs at a time as a truck driver and worked well beyond retirement age into his 70's. He was devoted to his wife and family. He loved family gatherings with all the good food, with his favorite cannoli for dessert. Mario is survived by: Son, Carl De Nunzio and Daughter-in-law, Jana of Parkland, Florida; Two Brothers, Frank De Nunzio and Sister-in-law, Gail of New York; Brother, Robert De Nunzio and Sister-in-law, Jane of Arizona; Seven Grandchildren, Ryan, Celeste, Nicole, Joshua, Joseph, Christy and Ashlee; Nine Great-Grandchildren; One Great-Great Grandchild. Mario is preceded in death by his parents Mario and Angiolina (De Roma) De Nunzio, Step-Mother, Rose DeNunzio, his wife Shirley De Nunzio, his son Joseph De Nunzio, daughter-in-law Melody, his sister Josephine and brother-in-law Bill Crook.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the Coral Springs Funeral Home located at 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations be made in memory of Mario's wife Shirley to the COPD Foundation.
