Luisa Maria Arias was a 62 year old loving soul of Coral Springs, Florida, passed away on September 22. Luisa was born in Bronx, New York to George and Flor de Maria Rodriguez. After graduation she left New York and eventually settled in Florida. She went on to study Fashion Design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Luisa is survived by her husband of 27 years Gonzalo, their chanced meeting saved his life countless times. Luisa has been joyful, sweet and loving all her life. She freely gives of herself to all who cross her path. A truly holy spirited soul. She is also survived by two sons; Justin Rivera, & his wife Tricia & their daughter Adelina Grace, and Sedric Rivera, & his wife Liz & their children: Nina Gabriela and Korben Nolan; Two daughters Victoria and Elizabeth Arias.

Luisa was known for her generosity, love and support for her family and community. Along with her husband, she was a devout member, religious educator, & volunteer at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Coral Springs, FL, and Couples for Christ in Broward County, FL.

Luisa worked as a seamstress for a local company and later as an Administrative Assistant in her parish Religious Education Office.

Preceded in joining the Lord; Mother & Father, George & Flor Rodriguez.

Luisa's passing leaves a vacuum in the hearts of those who have had the privilege of meeting her. Her legacy will live on in the lives of family & friends. As we wrestle with the loss of a wonderful human being, we find comfort in her peaceful passing and the knowledge that our Lord has called her home. May her light shine brightly eternally.
