Lucille Caiati, 86, of Tamarac, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2018. She was born January 12, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Sacco.
She attended New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn where she played basketball and excelled in her studies, later becoming an executive secretary for E.P. Dutton, a book publishing company in New York City.
In 1952, Lucille met the love of her life Joseph Caiati at a St. Valentine's party in Brooklyn, New York. The two fell madly in love and married on September 26, 1954. Together they raised two daughters. They moved to South Florida in 1978 from Baldwin, Long Island, NY and in 1984, Lucille became a Real Estate Agent for Century 21.
Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be remembered for her altruistic ways, great sense of humor, kindness to animals, the strength of her Catholic faith, her love for her family, and devotion to her husband.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph; her daughters and son-in-law, Karen Caiati and Lisa & Kevin Donahue; her two granddaughters, Jenna Donahue and Brittany Yochum; and many loving relatives and friends.
