Obituary

Lucille C. Bowman, 96, of Coral Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Life Care Center at Inverrary in Lauderhill. Lucille was born September 20, 1916 in Rochester, NY to Charles and Anna (Lambo) Bufano. She and her husband and son moved to southern California where they resided until moving to Florida. Lucille's family and faith were the center of her life. She attended St. Andrews Catholic Church in Coral Springs for decades and even resided in St. Andrew Towers for many years. With family being a vital part of her life, she was very involved with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. When Lucille was younger she loved to socialize, play cards, and was on a bowling league. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed going out to eat. Her favorite meal was spaghetti. Every morning began and every evening ended with a cup of hot tea. Italian pastries, desserts, and Royal Dansk cookies were a must at every visit or get together. Holidays were very special, traditions and family time were very important to her. Lucille was a very loving, caring, woman who was the first to offer help to anyone in need. She was old-school and taught her beliefs to all four generations. Lucille was an advocate for and lover of animals and always had a dog companion. Lucille is survived by her grandchildren, Ronal Reggio, Kimberly Ridge, and Steven Bowman; great grandchildren, , Robert Reggio, Jr., Regina Reggio., Stephanie Bowman, Samantha Bowman, and Tina Karuzas; and her great great grandchildren, Gianni Reggio, Raven, Dakota, and Paighton. Those also left to cherish her memory are her brother, Leon Bufano and sister, Joan Nicolosi; and her nieces and nephews, Dawn, Jimmy, Cheryl, Patty, Bobby, Roberta, Jackie, Kathy, Douglas, Jerome, Brenda, Modesta, Gregory, Jeffrey, Maryanne, Nancy, Lynne, Michael, Chuckie, Craig, Edie and Lynne...Followed by many, many more great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald James Bowman; her husband, Willard Arthur Bowman; siblings, Lawrence, Eugene, Paul, Pauline, and Modesta(Babe) Friends may call on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale.
