Lucille Alfonso, 93 years of age, passed on peacefully June 7, 2016, while visiting her family in Florida.

Lucille was born on March 21, 1923, in Branch Village, North Smithfield, Rhode Island. She was the youngest of seven children born to Arthur Champagne and Dora LaRoche.

On May 30, 1942, she married Napoleon Alfonso at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Central Falls, RI. She was a loving wife and full time mother while working arduously in the garment and automotive industries for over 40 years.

Lucille is survived by three children. Her daughter, Dolores M. Joyce of Lauderhill, FL, and her sons, Francis Alfonso of Charleston, SC, and Anthony Alfonso of Cumberland, RI; as well as ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 5:00 P.M. to 7 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 6:00 P.M. Lucille will then join her husband, Napoleon, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cumberland, RI.
