Louise T. Mercurio, 84, of Sunrise, FL passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015. Louise was born on March 29, 1931 in Bronx, NY to James and Josephine Derrico. Louise married Michael Mercurio, a U.S. Veteran, and had a short career as a teacher before raising her two children. She was a very loving and caring mother that enjoyed making crafts and traveling with her family. Louise and Michael enjoyed Sunday afternoon walks on the beach and window shopping. A devout Catholic, she attended church every Sunday until her health prevented her from doing so.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo (Tom) Devine; her son, Michael (Patti) Mercurio; grandsons, Daniel Devine, David (Francine) Devine, Michael Patrick Mercurio, and Joseph Mercurio; and her siblings, James Derrico & Barbara Lusk. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Mercurio.

Friends may call on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Louise will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
